Can Haile Gebrselassie Set Another World Record In Dubai? "I'll Tell You Two Days Before," He Assures Us The Ethiopian legend set the current world marathon record of 2:04:26 in Berlin in September, and his manager Jos Hermens has declared that Gebrselassie can go under 2:04 at the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon on January 18. But Gebrselassie himself observes that in Berlin, "everything was perfect, the weather, the course, the pacemaking. Sure it's possible to go under 2:04, but everything has to be perfect again." His pacemaking could be perfect, coming from former World Half Marathon champ Fabiano Joseph of Tanzania and 2002 Boston and New York City Marathon winner Rodgers Rop - if Rop can get out of strifetorn Kenya. Haile Gebrselassie is now a businessman thriving in real estate and other ventures, and by his own estimate he employs at least 400 people, but a colleague observes "he never stops training hard. And that’s even more amazing when you see all the other things he does in his life."
How far can this record be pushed ?

Dream Training
Dream training a new training by coaches from Russia, Combining dream control and autogenic Training.
I did read about Dream training in an athletics magazine.but couldn't find any other information about it.
But i stronlgy believe in Mind training , ie about Practicing in your mind your sport, and make sure to involve every instance of the activity in your Mind and then you improve on your Sport.
I do remember during my school days when i was in 6th , during the Begining of the Year i appeared for the Interschool sport when i was ranking around 4th or 5th in the Division after witnessing the Interschool Sports where i came across the cream of the athletes i started to practice in my mind with their styles and movements
and then in about 6 months during the school sports i was the Topper in the Division and even in the school ranking i was leading.
I do not wish to limit dream training as something limited to dreaming alone.but it is about getting your targets to be achieved in your mind and then trying to physially doing it.It is more about adding confidence.
